Who we are
Nathan Traill Constructions is a North Queensland building company delivering custom new homes and large scale renovations out of Aitkenvale in Townsville.
The company was started on a simple idea. Homeowners deserve a builder who does the work properly, says what is happening and follows through on what he committed to. That sounds like it should be ordinary. Anyone who has renovated knows it is not.
Nathan holds the licence, quotes the work and runs the sites. We have an in house team of carpenters who produce the bulk of the work, backed by a trusted network of subcontractors. You get the same faces on your property from start to finish rather than whoever was available that week.
The work runs from the Townsville suburbs out to Alligator Creek and across the water to Magnetic Island.
Meet the team
Three people, and you will deal with all of them. Nobody is handed off to a call centre or a name you never meet.
Director
When you build with NTC, you deal with Nathan.
He prices your job, he runs the program and he is on site for the crucial stages of your build. He is also the one you call if something is not right. We keep the business to a limited number of builds each year so that stays true.
A carpenter by trade, he has been building in Townsville for 10 years and is across every job from quote to handover.
Project Manager
Brett runs our projects from the ground up.
With 15 years in the building industry he is the most experienced head on our team and it shows on every site.
He manages our subcontractors, keeps the trades moving in the right order and holds the quality standard across all of our jobs. If something is not right, Brett picks it up before anyone else does.
Administrative Manager
Jacinta keeps the whole operation running behind the scenes.
She is usually the first person you will speak to when you get in touch with us.
She looks after client communication, project paperwork, accounts and scheduling, and stays across the detail so nothing gets missed. If you have a question mid build, Jacinta will have the answer or know exactly who does.

How we work
Attention to detail in every finish, and the parts you never see done to the same standard as the parts you do. Frames straight, falls right, waterproofing inspected.
You are kept informed at every step. If weather or a supplier moves your date you hear it from us early with a revised program, not silence and a guess.
We respect your time. If we give you a date we mean it, and the program is built with the wet season already allowed for.
Staying informed
Every project runs through Buildertrend, the construction management platform we use to keep you in the loop from the first day on site to handover.
You get your own login. Rather than waiting for a phone call or wondering how the week went, you can open the app and see where your build is up to whenever you want.
Daily logs, site photos and progress notes are posted as the work goes, so you can see what happened on your build this week without having to ask.
Messages, questions and decisions live in the one thread against your project instead of being spread across texts, emails and phone calls that nobody can find later.
The program is in there, so you can see what is coming up, what has been completed and how the job is tracking against the dates we gave you.
Approvals, selections, variations and documents are stored against the job, so there is one version of the truth and both sides can go back to it.
